Karachi is the most happening cities in Pakistan, Karachi have events taking place every day and let’s be honest, it’s hard to keep track of every possible event.
So, here is the list of some major events happening in Karachi in the 10 days left to complete January 2016 and you wouldn’t want to miss:
1) Karachi Eat 2016: 22 – 24 January 2016
For the affection of meals, of course! Who can resist the mouth-watering strawberry nutella samosas, or sweet potato fries or simply the fantastic 92 stalls of pure, completely happy meals?
Karachi Eat is happening at Sadar Frere Hall and will span over three days, starting Friday from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, while Saturday and Sunday open from 12 Noon to 11:00pm (we suggest don`t take meals at home and enjoy them at festival, there might be no end to the range). You will need a ticket to enter the premises in just PKR. 250.
2) Pug Specialty Championship Show: 24 January 2016
Dog lovers in Karachi, your hosting Pug Specialty Championship on Sunday, 24th Jan. Well, it’s specifically for pugs, but come on, they are adorable.
If you want to register your pug for championship show, and for people who just want to go enjoy the show, the visitor pass is for PKR 100. It will take place at the KCP Ground near Bilawal House at 10:00 am.
3) H.O.P.E.S. Health Expo 2016: 24 January 2016
As health freak, you who wants to have some fun and gain further insight into your physical and mental self, H.O.P.E.S. Health Expo is best place.
Formerly a carnival known as the H.O.P.E.S. Mela, this time around the Help Of Patients in Exigency by Students (H.O.P.E.S.) team decided to go bigger, Putting in place the the primary ever fitness expo to be arranged by an NGO in Pakistan. It’s being held at Karachi Expo Centre near Civic Center on Sunday 24th Jan, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
4) Poetry Slam: 29 January 2016
Do you have a knack for writing? Yes? We’ve got an event for you! Poetry Slam invites people of all age groups to come together under one roof to share their talent and win!
Although their facebook page also says registrations are complete, they`ll be opening again soon and it will cost you for PKR 300.
The venue of event is Gloria Jeans Coffee in Sindhi Muslim on Friday, at 29th Jan. from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm
5) Cranked Up! Karachi: 30 January 2016
Do you have mood for Rock n’ Roll? You can’t miss this performance. Canada-based band “Mausiki” is all set to perform in Karachi on 30th January.
The band will be performing some of Mausiki’s tunes with a local line up consisting of Umair Dar of band The D/A Method, Daniel Panjwaney of and Zain Jaffer, as well as the city’s indie-folk rockers Sikandar ka Mandar.
It will be held at Arts Council Karachi. Head on over to Chop Chop Wok to buy the tickets — they’re only for PKR 500.
